We are searching for the best talent for a Special Services Manager to join our MedTech Surgery team in Warsaw Indiana
Purpose:
In this role you will lead the Joints R&D Special Services Team which comprises of two distinct groups, Made to Order (MTO) and Prototype Services. The MTO group, develop and supply low volume, customized orthopaedic hip, knee and extremities devices, upon request. Developing unique solutions to address individual surgeon and patient needs, predominantly for the North American market. The impressively equipped Warsaw based Prototype Shop has both conventional machining and rapid prototyping capabilities. This team of highly capable and experienced technicians produce high quality prototype parts to support our NPD project teams. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual that possesses a blend of strategic leadership and practical engineering skills.

You will be responsible for:
- Lead and develop a highly motivated team in an R&D environment.
- Collaborate with the US Commercial organization to provide tailored design solutions for surgeons and patients.
- On time delivery of multiple MTO projects in line with commitments to our customers
- Oversight of the end-to-end MTO development process from developing customer requirements through to dispatch of the final product.
- Responsibility for the prototype manufacturing facility including all aspects of managing within a production environment.
- Provide a highly responsive prototyping service.
- Develop prototyping capabilities to keep pace with technology advancements and customer expectations.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar
Required:
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience
- A proven track record in Product Development
- Strong leadership skills with previous experience in leadership roles
- Highly collaborative with exceptional communication skills
- Strategic thinker balancing short and long term needs
- Proven analytical and creative approaches to problem solving
Preferred:
- Extensive knowledge of the Orthopedic medical device industry
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
Other:
- Travel up to 10% both domestic and international is required.
