Senior Financial Analyst, Surety
Position Summary:
This is a Senior Financial Analyst Position that reports into the Surety Divisional Financial Officer and the role requires advanced financial and data analysis skills.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly production metrics reports for Surety Management
- Prepare in-depth Expense Analysis
- Assist with Quarterly Close Analysis and Presentation
- Data replication and dashboard development for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Knowledge of key external financial data sets
- Surety System Integration Support
- Assist in Identifying Data Quality Issues
- Provide Compliance Reporting as required
- Handle ad-hoc report generation requests from Product Lines and the Field
Qualifications
- 3-5 years relevant work experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of analyzing datasets using advanced Excel analytical tools
- 1-3 years' experience with knowledge of SQL, UNIX, Qlik Sense, R & Python
- Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Works successfully in a team environment and independently with the ability to quickly adapt to change.
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proactive, self-motivated and detail oriented
- Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
- Ability to organize, plan and implement work assignments, juggle competing demands and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines
