Senior Financial Analyst, Surety

Position Summary:

This is a Senior Financial Analyst Position that reports into the Surety Divisional Financial Officer and the role requires advanced financial and data analysis skills.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly production metrics reports for Surety Management
  • Prepare in-depth Expense Analysis
  • Assist with Quarterly Close Analysis and Presentation
  • Data replication and dashboard development for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
  • Knowledge of key external financial data sets
  • Surety System Integration Support
  • Assist in Identifying Data Quality Issues
  • Provide Compliance Reporting as required
  • Handle ad-hoc report generation requests from Product Lines and the Field


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of analyzing datasets using advanced Excel analytical tools
  • 1-3 years' experience with knowledge of SQL, UNIX, Qlik Sense, R & Python
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Works successfully in a team environment and independently with the ability to quickly adapt to change.
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
  • Ability to organize, plan and implement work assignments, juggle competing demands and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines
