At Ratcliff Constructors, safety isn't just a checklist-it's a core value. As our Safety Director, you'll be the driving force behind compliance, planning, and training initiatives that protect our people, projects, and reputation.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement company-wide safety programs and procedures
  • Conduct safety audits, lead incident investigations, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain and update OSHA logs, safety records, and training documentation to ensure full compliance
  • Deliver effective safety training for employees- both in the field and classroom setting
  • Initiate and manage incident investigations, performing root cause analyses and preparing detailed reports
  • Track and analyze safety performance metrics, using data to drive proactive safety improvements
  • Coordinate directly with project teams and trade partners to ensure day-to-day safety practices are followed
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings to develop site-specific safety plans and protocols
  • Represent the company during regulatory inspections and interface with OSHA and other governing bodies
  • Promote and model and champion the Ratcliff Core Values in everything you do

What We're Looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)
CSP, CHST, or equivalent credential preferred
Minimum of 7+ years in construction safety, including 5+ years in a leadership role
At least 3 years focused on commercial construction safety
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, local regulations, and construction safety best practices
Train the Trainer credentials for OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid, etc.
Clear and confident communication skills-written, verbal, and instructional
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Willingness to travel regularly to job sites and be physically active in the field
