Position Description:
The Empower IT Specialist is responsible for providing technical support for Empower chromatography data systems, including user account management, instrument connectivity, equipment setup, troubleshooting, and maintaining validation documentation in accordance with global and local IT standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Empower user accounts (creation requiring 2PV).
- Maintain Empower instrument inventory and validation documentation.
- Set up, configure, and deploy LAC/E equipment (requires 2PV for initial setup).
- Connect laboratory instruments to the Empower system (requires 2PV).
- Troubleshoot instrument connectivity, LAC/E issues, and Empower-related IT incidents.
- Support Empower upgrades and manage related equipment changes.
- Maintain system administration and support SOPs for Empower.
- Participate in global Empower IT forums for knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment.
- Completion of required Local IT Empower training.
- Understanding of computer system validation principles.
- Familiarity with network configurations and settings.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting IT-related issues.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Ability to manage user accounts and system access.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology) preferred.
