Ziff Davis Shopping is seeking a strategic and creative Branded Content Director to lead the next chapter of growth for our branded content program across RetailMeNot, Offers.com, and BlackFriday.com. This is a unique opportunity for a high-performing editorial leader who's passionate about storytelling that sells-and who understands how to translate our partners' and sponsors' goals into compelling, audience-first content experiences. Our future Branded Content Director should also be collaborative, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and be able to juggle multiple complex projects across teams and timelines.
In this senior-level role, you won't just manage campaigns and a branded content team of full-time direct reports and a roster of freelancers, you'll shape the future of branded content across multiple consumer touchpoints for our brand-from longform editorial to influencer collaborations, social video, interactive hubs, and beyond. You'll work cross-functionally with Sales, Brand Marketing, Video, and Product to develop and execute impactful opportunities that resonate with shoppers and deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end branded content process across RetailMeNot, Offers.com, and BlackFriday.com-from strategic pre-sale pitches to flawless post-sale delivery and reporting.
- Partner with Sales and Design teams to ideate compelling, customized campaign concepts for RFPs and proactive pitches.
- Collaborate closely with our Brand Marketing and Video teams, as well as our brand ambassador, to develop and amplify cross-platform content.
- Manage relationships with vendors we rely on to bring our branded content to life.
- Lead campaign development across all editorial surfaces-longform, interactive experiences, shoppable galleries, influencer programs, editorial newsletters, and social-first storytelling.
- Oversee editorial execution to ensure sponsored content aligns with client goals, campaign KPIs, and our brands' voice and standards.
- Develop clear timelines, workflows, and project documentation; maintain accountability on budget, talent, and distribution.
- Present campaign updates and post-mortem performance recaps to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Manage omnichannel distribution strategy, including content hubs, paid social amplification, email placements, and native integrations.
- Lead and grow a small yet nimble branded content team (in-house and freelance), while providing editorial guidance, campaign oversight, and professional development to direct reports.
- Copy edit and polish all branded stories for clarity, tone, and performance. Step in to write high-impact pieces as needed.
- Develop new sellable content formats-interactive guides, content franchises, video opportunities, social offerings, influencer series.
- Lead internal enablement training for Sales.
- Source, onboard, and manage a trusted network of contributors, creators, designers, and editors.
- Communicate data to stakeholders, while also owning the monthly send of our branded content newsletter that recaps performance, wins, and learnings to internal teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams (including Product, Engineering, Sales, Brand Marketing) to execute custom content solutions and innovate on storytelling formats.
- Strategically manage inventory and surface opportunities to meet and exceed competitive revenue targets.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in editorial or content marketing, with proven results in pre-sale strategy and post-sale execution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading a branded or commerce content team or operation.
- Strong editing and storytelling chops across digital formats, including SEO-informed articles, social-first content, and sponsored content experiences.
- Deep understanding of branded content metrics, KPIs, and performance reporting.
- Experience working in CMS platforms, like Wordpress.
- Proficiency in data analytics platforms like Google Analytics and Tableau dashboards.
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.
