Salary and Benefits
Starting annual salary is $71,054 - $106,970 based on education and experience. An annual doctoral stipend of $2,419 is available. In addition, the District offers an attractive fringe benefit package including medical, dental, and vision coverage for the employee and dependents, and life insurance. Employees are also members of the California State Teacher's Retirement System (CalSTRS).
Selection Procedure
Applications will be screened by Human Resources for completeness and to determine which applicants meet the minimum qualifications as stated in the job announcement.
From the applicants who meet the minimum qualifications and who have submitted all the required documents by the closing date and time listed on the job announcement, a selection advisory committee will review the candidates who are best qualified based on the minimum and desirable qualifications then determine who will be invited to interview.
The selection advisory committee will rate responses to the interview questions, teaching demonstration, and writing prompt (if applicable). Based on this rating, a small number of applicants will be selected as the "recommended candidates". These candidates will be forwarded to theVice President and College President for final interviews.
A hiring recommendation will be made by the College President and forwarded to the Board of Trustees of State Center Community College District for final approval.

Providing instruction inArt (Multimedia Art) on the Clovis Community College campus and/or at off-site community campus locations, the instructor will be responsible for:
- Teaching a full schedule of Art (Multimedia Art) courses as assigned;
- Following the Clovis Community College Art Department curriculum which includes teaching one or more of the following: Graphic Design, Digital Video Editing, computer animation or other multimedia art classes;
- Knowledge of various digital media formats, including images, videos, and interactive content;
- Demonstrating proficiency in a variety of multimedia tools, platforms, and processes such as Adobe Creative Suite;
- Coordinating the schedule of part-time instructors and lab assistants;
- Overseeing the ordering of materials and equipment;
- Overseeing the care, maintenance and safety of the lab/classroom;
- Communicating effectively and professionally with students and staff;
- Incorporating historical and contemporary design practices into instruction;
- Serving on and attending department, college, and district committees as needed;
- Participating in program review, student learning outcome development and assessment to improve student learning;
- Teaching assignments in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evening and/or weekends, on-line or off-campus and large group instruction classes as needed;
- Otherwise fulfilling all of the duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom; and
- Master's in fine arts, art, or art history; or
- Bachelor's in any of the above and Master's in humanities; or
- A valid California Community College Credential; or

- Experience working with students of various cultural, gender, age, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds including students with disabilities;
- Willingness to examine and remediate one's instructional, relational, and classroom practices to more effectively engage and support racially minoritized students;
- Related work and professional experience;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students and staff;
- Demonstrated ability to work with computers, and other technologies, which are utilized in providing high-quality instruction and support to students;
- Prior experience in creating digital art, animation, video editing, or 3D modeling;
- Proficiency in a variety of multimedia tools, platforms, and processes such as:
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, etc.)
- Video and audio editing software
- Projection mapping, AR/VR tools, or interactive media
- Digital fabrication (3D printing, laser cutting, etc.)
- Web-based media and/or coding for artists (e.g., Processing, p5.js. TouchDesigner
- College-level teaching experience, particularly in studio and/or lab settings;
- Familiarity with traditional and emerging media, with an interdisciplinary and experimental approach to art-making;
- A strong professional portfolio demonstrating creative work in a range of multimedia practices;
- Demonstrated ability to teach multimedia art;
- Demonstrated ability to hone student artistic identity through visual and material research built upon a foundation of strong technical skills, and emphasize a thorough understanding and integration of process, structure, material and technique; and
- Knowledge of the community college and its mission and goals.
