The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) plays a crucial role in maintaining and securing the organization's information systems by implementing and managing comprehensive security measures. You will support this exciting, massive, multi-year contract at our customer site in Annapolis Junction, MD. Our mission is the development, integration deployment and sustainment of large collection systems. This prime contract is critical to the government and allows team members to work independently and explore new and emerging technologies. Pay Range:
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00

Responsibilities Include:
- Information Assurance & Security Policy Management: Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
- Operational Security & System Management: Maintain the operational security posture of information systems by ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Manage security aspects and perform daily operations to safeguard systems.
- Risk Assessment & Accreditation Support: Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments to assist with certification, accreditation, and compliance processes.
- Configuration Management: Provide configuration management for security software, hardware, and firmware, and evaluate the security impact of system changes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and review key documentation, such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages.
- Security Solutions Evaluation: Evaluate security solutions to ensure compliance with requirements for processing classified information.
- Authorization Activities: Assist with security authorization processes in line with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other relevant protocols.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security or related discipline, or an additional 4 years in lieu of degree
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience as an ISSO supporting IC or DoD programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level I or IAT Level II (i.e., CAP or Security+ CE)
- Clearance Required: Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
