Director Manufacturing Exton is responsible to support the management team in running their areas in a safe, efficient manner and with a goal to keep department team members motivated and satisfied. Because the end use of our products affects patient safety, there is a need to be strongly knowledgeable in the quality system requirements in addition to being well-versed in technical aspects of the process. This position reports to the Exton Site Direcotr.

Your key responsibilities

• Manage DSM Biomedical US Controlled Manufacturing and warehouse Departments and all associated activities in compliance with SHE, GMP and ISO requirements
• Represent the Manufacturing department on cross-functional committees and with outside parties
• Develop and/or monitor Key Performance Indicators and ensure adequate management reporting on the performance of the area
• Coordinate inter-departmental activities between the manufacturing or materials areas and other departments and ensure appropriate follow up is given
• Continuously monitor skill sets and implement training & development plans for managers and other personnel within the department. Ensure succession planning is considered.
• Manage key departmental financial requirements including budget expenses and variances.
• Identify needs, develop and execute plans for production capacity expansion as required

You bring

• Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing in the medical device, food and/or pharmaceutical industry required

• Minimum 8 years of progressive leadership experience required
• Understanding of operations and supply chain concepts with ability to take a strategic views of operations
• Manufacturing experience in a highly regulated industry (Medical Device, pharmaceutical and/or food) a plus
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, with preference for a degree in Engineering or another technical discipline; candidates without a degree with significant manufacturing and leadership experience will be considered
