Position Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager of Site Merchandising to lead and elevate our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) eCommerce merchandising efforts across our home fragrance brand portfolio. This role offers the exciting opportunity to combine strategic thinking with creative execution to drive eCommerce sales, enhance customer experience, and support business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical expertise, a passion for innovative merchandising strategies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Brand, Marketing, Creative, Technology, and Product.

As a leader in the site merchandising team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing strategies that meet key revenue, margin, and customer engagement goals while optimizing the overall online shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Merchandising Strategy and Execution:
  • Drive the development and implementation of merchandising strategies that align with DTC revenue, margin, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead the execution of site-wide promotional campaigns, including product landing page (PLP) banners, mega navigation images, editorial content, and other key site assets to enhance customer engagement and maximize sales.

Data-Driven Insights and Optimization:
  • Analyze site performance, customer behavior, and merchandising strategies using data-driven insights to continuously optimize the site experience.
  • Monitor KPIs, iterate on successful strategies, and optimize product presentations to improve conversion rates, drive revenue, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Site Content and Calendar Management:
  • Own and manage the site merchandising calendar, ensuring the timely execution of all merchandising activities.
  • Work closely with product assortment and brand marketing teams to ensure future content is aligned with business needs and seasonal changes.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between product launches, marketing campaigns, and site content.

Product Lifecycle and Catalog Management:
  • Oversee the entire site catalog management process, from product setup (site flip) to seasonal merchandising and promotional activity.
  • Ensure content accuracy and timely updates across both staging and production environments to guarantee the best possible user experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with Brand, Marketing, UX, and Product teams to create content that enhances brand image and drives site conversion.
  • Lead the execution of final content on the site, ensuring alignment with overall brand strategy and a seamless customer experience.

Customer Retention and Engagement:
  • Assist in developing and executing strategies that drive customer retention and repeat purchases through the DTC channel.
  • Innovate with new initiatives designed to engage customers and build long-term loyalty across the site.

Vendor and Partner Management:
  • Oversee relationships with third-party vendors such as BazaarVoice, Narvar, and Jebbit, ensuring they meet key deliverables and contribute effectively to site merchandising strategies.

SEO and Site Optimization:
  • Partner with the SEO team to manage site optimization strategies that align with best practices, ensuring high search visibility and increased site traffic.
  • Ensure product listings and content are optimized for both customer experience and search engine performance.

Competitive Analysis and Market Research:
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify trends, market opportunities, and areas for improvement in site merchandising.
  • Use insights from market research to adjust merchandising strategies and ensure the site remains competitive and aligned with customer needs.


Key Qualifications:

Experience:
  • 5-7 years of experience in eCommerce merchandising, buying, or related roles, with a strong emphasis on site optimization and driving business results in a fast-paced, retail environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful merchandising strategies that enhance site performance and customer experience.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (or similar eCommerce platforms) is a must.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS and SEO best practices is a plus.
  • Progressive Web App Kit (PWA Kit) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience a plus/ preferred

Analytical Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make actionable decisions.
  • Experience using Google Analytics or similar tools to track, measure, and optimize site performance.

Collaboration and Communication:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors.

Attention to Detail:
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy of all merchandising efforts across the site.

  • Ability to blend creative vision with strategic decision-making to develop innovative merchandising initiatives that drive business growth and enhance the customer experience.

The CT base pay range for this position is from $105,700 to $129,100. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
