Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Hospital Laboratory Director to oversee laboratory operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, extensive laboratory management experience in an acute care setting, and national certification as a Medical Technologist. Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Maintain qualified staffing levels through hiring, training, and performance management.
• Develop and implement department strategies to achieve quality, service, and financial goals.
• Ensure adherence to CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, FDA, and CMS standards.
• Manage vendor relationships and supply contracts in collaboration with Laboratory Services and Supply Chain.
• Provide leadership through coaching, delegation, and performance feedback.
• Oversee financial operations, monitor resource utilization, and prepare monthly reports.
• Foster open communication and continuous improvement within the department.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Chemistry (Master's Degree preferred).
• Certification: National Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP required).
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive laboratory management experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Hospital Leadership Experience: Recent hospital clinical laboratory leadership required.
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Compliance with local, state, and federal vaccination requirements is mandatory.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: Up to $130K based on experience.
• Bonus: Incentive bonus up to 15%.
• Sign-on Bonus: Up to $15K.
• Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis.

Additional Information:

• Reports directly to the Capital Division Director.
• Leadership role within a 460-bed facility.
