Job Description
The team is hiring a Senior DevOps Developer to develop cloud services, maintain and optimize cloud infrastructures and support the service operation. This role needs someone who has DevOps experience in public or private clouds and some experience in software development preferably in python/Go.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and build advanced DevOps solutions with a focus on reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
2. Create and maintain cloud service infrastructure (VMs, kubernetes, networking etc.) through infrastructure as code on Fortinet's private cloud or public cloud.
3. Develop and improve our continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring seamless development cycles and high-quality software releases
4. Overseeing infrastructure, service reliability, and perform root cause analysis of software, process and service failures.
5. Defining and implementing systems/application/error monitoring tool.
6. Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operational teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements:
1. Working knowledge of OpenStack, AWS or other public/private cloud providers
2. Advanced knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their deployment and management in production environments
3. Advanced knowledge and experience in automation tools
4. Strong programming/scripting knowledge -- Bash and Python
5. Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking and troubleshooting techniques
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
7. Experience with systems monitoring, visualization tools, and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki) in various environments
8. Expertise in Jenkins or GitLab pipeline for CI/CD pipeline construction and management.
9. Experience in a 24/7 production environment delivering high availability or mission-critical applications
10. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with different teams.
Preferred:
Hands-on experience in Kubernetes orchestration to build, maintain and monitor application services Experience related to Disaster Recovery and Data backup/restore Experience related to Artificial Intelligent application
The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $105,000 - $140,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
