Job Description:
In collaboration with senior leadership, leads most complex multi-specialty or family practice departments and has significant impact to Essentia Health's overall performance and business operations. Focused on operational activities within practice. The majority of time is spent overseeing area of responsibility, planning, prioritizing and/or directing the work/responsibilities of teams/colleagues. Goal achievement of the specified area is accomplished through strong management of teams/colleagues to ensure operational results. Maintains optimum patient care systems through effective fiscal and operational management, which includes ensuring policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by team members. Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, which may include external customers or vendors. Responsible for managing teams, making and implementing adjustments and improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of job area. Responsible for coaching, leading and mentoring emerging talent and developing the talent pipeline. Oversees compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements and development and maintenance of Practice Manuals. The Operations Manager II assures orientation and ongoing education for staff and has input into program and project development.

Education Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages fill rates, physician and advanced practice provider schedules and templates daily
  • Manages in reach or out reach as relevant to assigned practices
  • Implements actions to improve employee engagement
  • Ensures standard work is implemented to achieve quality metrics
  • Provides coaching, feedback and ensures development conversations are completed for all members of the team
  • Serves as escalation point for patient access to care
  • Participates in PDSA's and other improvement activities
  • Provides input into long-range financial planning, program development and capital planning process
  • Delegates work to assigned supervisors if appropriate


Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare leadership or clinical healthcare field

OR
  • Associate's degree in nursing and ability to obtain bachelor's degree within 3 years from date of hire


Required Qualifications:
  • 3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in a clinical setting or completion of administrative fellowship through Essentia Health fellowship program

$83,428.80 - $125,153.60
