Position is located at 921 W Monroe Ave, Lowell, Arkansas, however, location is flexible for residents in the Arvest 4 state footprint (AR, KS, MO, OK). Occasional travel is required.

Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with the ability to work additional hours as needed.

SUMMARY: The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is a senior leader responsible for managing a team that supports senior and executive management of the Bank in developing budgets and forecasts, building business plans and making strategic decisions. Additionally, the Director leads the FP&A team in identifying new revenue and efficiency opportunities. The incumbent proactively collaborates with peers across the organization to challenge leaders to make sound decisions by leveraging relevant data, analysis and modeling techniques. The proactive insights provided by this group will ultimately improve the likelihood of achieving our strategic vision and improving long term profitability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee the associates of FP&A ensuring they are a highly functioning team focused on improving the profitability of the Bank and fulfilling Finance's Purpose Statement.Identify current and future talent needs, assess strengths and gaps, and put development strategies in place across FP&A to accelerate readiness and build bench strength.
  • Lead and coordinate the budget process for Arvest Bank to reflect business plans that challenge us to meet our strategic vision.Lead FP&A as associates build budgets and support senior and executive management in the preparation and presentation of budgets during the review meetings.Ensure FP&A works closely with other AFM associates who provide support to the budget process.Set timelines and expectations for the entire Arvest Bank budget process.Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Develop, lead and continually improve the periodic forecast process for Arvest Bank.Work with other Finance teams to develop and implement quantitative forecasting methods.Lead FP&A in working with key business leaders to ensure high quality forecast results that help executive management make more informed decisions.Communicate effectively with key stakeholders throughout the forecast process.
  • Lead the FP&A team in leveraging relevant data, analytics and modeling techniques in order to provide strong, insightful business advice to key decision makers.Collaborate with and challenge senior leaders to develop intermediate and long range business strategies and goals that align with Arvest's strategic vision and improve financial performance.Identify and quantify key risks and opportunities in the business and communicate appropriately.Monitor on-going performance against these objectives.
  • Proactively identify new revenue opportunities and enhancements.Actively engage in evaluating strategic business opportunities including, but not limited to, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships and investments, product and pricing enhancements, new programs or lines of business, etc.
  • Proactively identify and engage in evaluating opportunities that challenge the Bank to become more efficient.Lead FP&A in leveraging tools including, but not limited to, ROI on major projects, staffing models, HR analytics, identifying process improvement opportunities, etc.
  • Serve as an active leader in Finance and the broader Arvest Financial Management organization.Regularly collaborate with peers and others in the division to ensure Finance functions as a cohesive group in support of Finance's Purpose Statement.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

  • TEAM ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Directly supervise 2 or more associates as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest's BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank's procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience required.
    • 8 years related experience, such as Accounting, Audit or FP&A, required.
    • Financial modeling experience required.
    • Proven ability to lead and engage with all levels of management required.
    • Strong computer skills with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
    • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or an advanced degree in Finance or related quantitative field of study is preferred.
    • Management experience preferred.

    Pay Range: $152,340 - $ 190,430 per year
