North American Surface Trans (NAST) - Analytics and Science team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated person to help develop a world-class logistics process that delivers goods on time at the best cost as part of our Line Haul ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence Systems) team. A day in the life
As a Business Intelligence Engineer at Amazon, you will connect with world leaders in your field working on similar problems. You will be working with massive-scale data and providing analytic support to scientists, product managers, engineers using these data. You will utilize your deep expertise in business analysis, metrics, reporting, and analytic tooling/languages like SQL, QuickSight, and Python to translate the data into meaningful insights. You will have ownership of the insights you are building for the business, and will play an integral role in tactical decision-making for critical risk areas.
About the team
NAST - Analytics and Science is products, analytics and science team supporting the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) organization. We support NAST-CX Products, Program Management teams,ACES, TOMY, TOM labor plan & Finance, ROC with deep dive tools, data infrastructure creation, metrics development, and data insights. NAST - Analytics and Science partners with stakeholder teams throughout the product life cycle, business intelligence and science process through identifying key business problems,business metrics, aligning on business logic, creating and managing data pipelines, and delivering automated metrics decks, tools, and dashboards. We provide the speed and flexibility to adapt to the quickly evolving needs of our Surface Transportation partners and help solve business problems with data driven insights.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Proven track record of conducting large-scale, complex data analysis to support business decision-making in a data warehouse environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions and vice versa
- Business experience in working with supply chain industry
- Relentless curiosity and drive to explore emerging trends and technologies in the field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
