Job Description
Job Title: Intraoperative Monitoring Technologist
Job Specialty: Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technician
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (09:00 - 19:30)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Intraoperative Monitoring Technician required
License: Valid permanent California license required
Certifications: ABRET CNIM
Must-Have: Epic experience highly preferred
Job Description:
- Perform intraoperative neuromonitoring to assess the function of the nervous system during surgery.
- Conduct electrode placement for various monitoring procedures.
- Execute Electromyography (EMG), Motor Evoked Potentials, and Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEP).
- Assist with Nerve Conduction Studies and Auditory Evoked Potentials.
- Participate in weekend rotation schedule as required.
- Adapt to floating within the department as needed to meet facility requirements.
- Orientation includes 12 hours to prepare for the role.
- Mandatory flu vaccine requirement with no exemptions.
- Compliance with specific return-to-work policies for previous employees.
- Complete required modules, which vary by specialty, during orientation if not done pre-start.
