Duties include overseeing the daily management of the Building Services division with the responsibility of coordinating and supervising Building Maintenance and Custodial Divisions; representing the City with architects, engineers, and contractors in the development of specifications for projects; overseeing all general construction of facilities with division staff and outside contractors; preparing presentations and presenting information to management and at external meetings; negotiating and hiring contractors and ensuring that completed work complies with specifications, codes, and regulations; coordinating and administering the division and departmental budgets; managing compliance with federal, state and municipal laws; and performing related duties as assigned. Additional duties include attending various council or committee meetings as necessary; answering questions and providing information to customers; and administering processes to track group productivity and customer satisfaction. A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, from accredited four year college or university in subject field and at least five years of experience in management of construction or trades, including a minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity. Engineer, architect, or master trade license preferred. A rsum must be submitted with application.
PAY GRADE GG29 / FULL PAY RANGE $7,803 - $11,000 PER MONTH
