Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
The Manager of Global Supplier Quality oversees the administration of all processes related to Supplier Controls. This role ensures that all Supplier Controls processes (including Supplier Evaluation, Re-Evaluation, Audits, Supplier Monitoring and Process Improvements) are being performed per Intuitive released procedures. This role will work with cross-functional organizations (Purchasing, Product Quality and Supplier Engineering) to ensure global alignment of processes for ASL maintenance, SCARs, Supplier Audits, and supplier monitoring; This role is a Global Shared Services function with influence and impact on all Business Units, and all Regional and International Intuitive sites.

Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
The Manager of Global Supplier Quality oversees the administration of all processes related to Supplier Controls. Roles and Responsibilities:
This position has responsibility and authority to:
- Define and implement daily tasks for the Process Management team.
- Define and implement daily tasks for the Supplier Quality Engineering/Auditing team.
- Perform employee coaching, performance evaluations, promotions and hiring/onboarding. This includes all associated training and talent development actions.
- Define and implement strategic goals that support group and corporate objectives, including:
- Approved Supplier List capacity growth/monitoring supporting Intuitives NPI Projects.
- Harmonization and alignment with all Intuitive corporate sites (domestic and international).
- Implementation procedural and System improvements for sustainability.
- Identify and implement Cost efficiency Projects
- Coordinate day-to-day execution of the following processes:
- Approved Supplier List (ASL) maintenance.
- Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) and associated Review Board;
- Supplier Audits- Evaluations and Re-Evaluations.
- Lead Quarterly Supplier Monitoring Board with Senior Leadership Team.
- Identify and implement changes (Continuous Process Improvement) to the above processes and associated procedures and work instructions.
- Globally communicate process improvements.
- Identify and manage exceptions and deviations to the documented procedures for the processes above.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and globally to ensure harmonization of Supplier Controls.
- Create, analyze and archive data metrics and records that show objective evidence of the execution of the procedures for the processes above.
- Participate in Regulatory Auditing Body events as SME for procedural and record retrieval associated with Supplier Controls. May involve front-room audit participation.
Qualifications
Skill/Job Requirements:
- 5-8 years related experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or related field is required.
- Intermediate/expert knowledge of 21 CFR part 820 and ISO 13485:2016, EUMDR and MDSAP Regulations.
- Demonstrated 1-3 years of supervisory experience that included task assignments and employee mentoring is preferred.
- Demonstrated expert experience with process execution and Project management.
- Demonstrated experience with global collaboration with internal cross-functional teams.
- Critical thinking skills and a passion to work in a fast-paced industry with complex and innovative technology.
- Expert organizational, written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment. Written and verbal skills include presenting complex data and strategies to global management.
- BS/BA degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
- Expert user experience with Windows, MS Office, Agile, TrackWise, SAP.
- Experience in a high-volume medical device company is preferred.
