Summary:
Working with the Chief Medical Officer and/or the Chief of Staff for the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO), this individual supports the planning, coordination and design of a portfolio of projects/initiatives on behalf of the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO). This role leads data collection and analysis pertaining to critical projects and outcomes for the Office of the CMO. This individual will occasionally manage projects on behalf of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) or serve as a strategic liaison for specific projects, including those pertaining to UT Southwestern or the JPE. It is important for this person to work closely with and communicate to CHST executives and members of the Enterprise Transformation Office to keep the CMO and his/her team informed of project progress and issues.
Responsibilities:
* Assesses processes associated with the administrative, financial, and people management of the OCMO, offers recommendations for improvement, and oversees implementation, as needed.
* Monitors a portfolio of initiatives, projects, and/or critical outcomes on behalf of the OCMO. Works with leaders to interpret results and develop plans for improvement.
* Manages and guides select projects, typically highly visible, on behalf of the OCMO, while partnering with appropriate project management resources and executive stakeholders.
* Serves as a consultant for the OCMO, partnering with organizational leaders to integrate the priorities of the OCMO and the JPE into enterprise projects.
* Oversees one or more areas of the OCMO operations, including, but not limited to, administrative, financial or people management. Works with the appropriate enterprise functions (HR, Finance, etc.) to ensure alignment across departments and functions.
This is a full-time onsite position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
How You'll Be Successful:
WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 10 years Demonstrated success in a healthcare environment Required.
* At least 5 years Serving as a consulting or partner for clinical projects or initiatives Preferred.
EDUCATION
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required.
* Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Preferred.
