We are seeking an exceptional Sr. Program Manager to join the Amazon Dedicated Security Team (DST). We are looking for an individual that can lead cross-organizational initiatives, build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external partners, define and implement repeatable processes and deliver results against Amazon's dynamic security landscape. As a Sr. Program Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and delivering end to end projects. You will be comfortable working across time zones and through ambiguity. You thrive through building consensus and driving teams towards results. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces to deliver them in a successful and timely manner. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

- Learn the business operation and security needs of the different business units DST will be supporting.
- Understand the security tools and services used by DST teams to meet the security needs of the businesses.
- Program ownership with focus on the larger business picture (i.e., customer experience, processes or problem, opportunities, etc.) to drive the right outcomes with deep understanding of the business requirements and goals.
- Manage security initiatives through the Business Unit life cycle and drive activities including coordination of detailed functional plans, communication with key stakeholders, issue resolution, and reporting metrics / KPIs.
- Create awareness of cross-functional inter-dependencies and establish prioritization for plan execution to minimize disruption on daily operations, and governance of security policies, design of procedures and controls and respective adherence across function.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of management and engineering, building trust across the organization, and demonstrating discretion with sensitive information.
- Build relationships and trust with BU points of contact and business leaders and influence stakeholders to make appropriate trade-offs decisions by considering the larger picture (e.g., customer experience, financial goals, compliance, legal, brand, public relations, process workflow dependencies, metrics, quality, efficiency, etc.).
- Show ownership and leadership skills in coordinating projects across multiple teams, driving them to successful conclusion while building strong, lasting relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Partner with other managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones, and drive delivery. Determine if success metrics are in place, and if not, work with stakeholders to define them.
- Lead ambiguous and undefined problems to resolution in the face of uncertainty. Apply process improvement methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, Kaizen analyses, or another approach).
- Create repeatable processes for tracking risk, BU information, on-going engagement, and reporting. Creation of roadmap for operational planning and R&O (Risk and opportunities). Further support operational planning efforts by organizing/collecting data, writing PR/FAQs and other strategic program documentation (e.g., narratives).
- Accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating appropriately.
A day in the life
Ideal candidate must be able to understand the different security needs across security domains, dive deep to learn the nuances of the security needs for a business unit, create a mechanism to measure the security posture of each business unit they support, and progress the metrics program to meet the business needs. The candidate must be able to work with different teams within DST, the larger InfoSec organization at Amazon, and different business units DST supports.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Proven ability to articulate measurement of customer impact initiatives and use data and metrics to make recommendations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
- 6+ years of leading large complex programs experience
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Basic understanding of information security and security operations at scale

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
