Application Engineer

Nova is looking for anApplication Engineerwho is a highly technical, motivated individual to support our growth in the semiconductor. The Application Engineer is someone who will engage with Nova customers to develop high-value, innovative optical metrology applications in semiconductor manufacturing; apply robust statistical techniques to optimize applications for the high-volume manufacturing (HVM) fab environment: and provide region support for new product introduction and evaluation activities (beta, head-to-head).

Pay Range: $115,000- $150,000 Annually (DOE)

What will you do as an Application Engineer?

• Develop customer solutions to showcase next-generation metrology tools.
• Collaborate with algorithm, software, and engineering teams to analyze and troubleshoot systems in an R&D environment.
• Create supporting documentation, including test procedures, customer demo reports, and marketing materials.
• Provide customer support for the installation, maintenance, and ongoing support of Novas products.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance existing solutions.

• Masters Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field. A PhD is preferred.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor metrology and processing fundamentals is strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with are required. experience in customer interaction is preferred.
• 0-3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry strongly preferred.
• Experience in modeling, data analysis and coding is preferred (e.g. MATLAB, Python).
• Hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication and a strong background in manufacturing processes (e.g., lithography, CMP, deposition, wet and dry etch) is preferred.
• Travel domestically and internationally, as required.
