The College of Business at Colorado State University is an AACSB-accredited business school serving about 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in its on-campus and online programs. We are a purpose-driven community seeking to fulfill our mission of transforming lives and improving the world through business education, scholarly research, and community engagement. The Department of Finance and Real Estate is one of five departments in the College of Business. It has a strong record of research and teaching accomplishments and expects faculty members to be engaged in our academic community. The Department offers undergraduate concentrations in finance (with options in corporate finance, investments, and real estate), financial planning, and real estate. In addition, it offers a master's degree in finance and participates in the other graduate programs of the College.
The Department currently has 13 tenure-track and 6 non-tenure-track faculty. It serves approximately 3,100 undergraduate business majors, approximately 1,000 undergraduate students enrolled in the business minor, 20 graduate students in the Master of Finance program, and about 1,000 MBA students.

Position Summary
The Department of Finance and Real Estate invites applications for the position of Instructor of Finance. This is a nine-month non-tenure track continuing appointment with benefits.
The teaching load for this full-time (100% FTE) position is seven or eight courses annually, to be determined by the Department chair. This position addresses teaching needs in finance and financial planning.
Specific responsibilities include teaching finance and financial planning courses in the undergraduate program, including the Business minor, and potentially in the College's MBA programs. Evening and online teaching may be required. Instructors are responsible for all aspects of course delivery, including syllabus production, lecturing, meeting with students, and assigning final grades. Some courses have multiple sections and several instructors; thus, instructors must coordinate syllabi and grading standards.

(1) directly relevant teaching experience,
(2) relevant professional experience,
(3) demonstrated excellence in teaching finance and/or financial planning, and

Required Job Qualifications
- Applicants must have a master's degree or PhD in finance or a related field.
- Applicants must also have a demonstrated ability or potential for quality teaching and will typically have multiple semesters of experience teaching finance and/or financial planning at a business school.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, flexibility, and collegiality are essential.
- Ability to collaborate with other faculty members and contribute to improving the content and delivery of courses.
