Qualifications you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or other related field or equivalent work experience
    • Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in product development, business development, product positioning, or strategy.
    • Five or more years must be in the health care industry
  • Self-directed with strong organizational planning skills and solid judgment and confidence.
  • Experience in the concepts and execution of product design and strategy
  • Demonstrable experience in hiring, modifying, and developing teams and team members.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations of material and concepts to Boards of Directors.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for application in dealing with all constituents - co-workers, vendors, and Executive staff.
  • A team player able to work well in an energetic, dynamic and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Previous experience required in situations demanding strict adherence to confidentiality.
  • Previous experience required in developing new programs, products, or initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Some travel, including overnight, to work with staff in MVP's regional offices required.
  • Excellent computer and software skills including but not limited to: MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Coaching, leadership, management, and upholding accountabilities for the Product Design and Strategy team.
  • Ambassador of the MVP Way.
  • Team and staff development.
  • Strategy and design of all health insurance and ancillary products.
  • Strategy and design of all partnership products.
  • Product training for all products.
  • Partner and vendor conception, exploration, and in some cases, selection.
  • Market and competitive intelligence to support product strategies and designs.
  • Product goal-setting and evaluation.
  • All Jobs-to-be-Done projects in support of our Evidence-Based Innovation framework.
    • Other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Contribute to our humble pursuit of excellence by performing various responsibilities that may arise, reflecting our collective goal of enhancing healthcare delivery and being the difference for the customer.

Hybrid based out of one of our offices: Rochester, Schenectady or Tarrytown NY
