Job Description:
Johnson and Johnson is currently recruiting for a Vice President of US Commercial Marketing, Electrophysiology within the Johnson & Johnson MedTech organization. This role will be based in Irvine, CA.
The Vice President of US Marketing will lead the US marketing strategy and operations for our Electrophysiology product lines, driving growth and market share in the competitive healthcare landscape. This role will lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans that align with the overall business strategy, improving brand awareness, and achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a robust US marketing strategy for Electrophysiology, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives. Provide regional insights for global strategy development. Translate global marketing strategy into regional marketing execution and develop necessary capability to drive revenue growth.
- Market Analysis: Conduct detailed market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics in the Electrophysiology space in the US.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, encouraging a culture of innovation and accountability. Responsible for building Marketing capabilities in the region, including downstream marketing and account management that helps to enable the business.
- Product Launches: Plan and implement successful product launches, including market entry strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product development, sales, regulatory, and clinical teams to ensure cohesive strategy execution. Partner closely with the US SLT and the Global Strategic Marketing organization.
- Budget Management: Develop and lead the marketing budget, optimizing resource allocation for maximum return on investment.
- Partner Engagement: Build and manage relationships with key partners and customers, including healthcare professionals, industry influencers, and regulatory bodies.
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators and analyze performance metrics to measure efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 14+ years of total work experience with 10+ years of experience in leadership roles within the healthcare or medical device industry, with a preferred focus on Electrophysiology or related fields.
- Experience in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and product launches.
- Expertise in leading teams to drive business value and deliver on strategy in differing market segments
- Broad generalist leadership experience preferred
- Success in collaborating with critical internal and external partners and substantial customer interaction
- Broad business knowledge and P&L management experience, including significant financial competence, forecasting business plans, and commercial expertise
- Track record of driving necessary strategic change to meet changing business needs, and exploring new business models
- Multi-function experience: understands business processes, high negotiation skills and has passion to achieve sustained, outstanding results
- Consistent record of translating global strategies into regional execution, developing marketing capabilities including market insights, understanding KOL development and regulatory environment
- Demonstrated organizational change success and ability to inspire and empower large teams
- Strong ability for developing talent, including deep pipelines and strong leadership teams
- Experience successfully leading in a large, complex environment; ability to partner and collaborate across the organization
- Knowledge of the region and market is preferred
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with strong analytical skills and experience using market research methodologies.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, content development, and data analysis.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the healthcare sector.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with outstanding leadership and collaboration abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to engage diverse collaborators.
