The Role:
We are seeking a Chief of Staff to act as the central support hub for our leadership team and help drive execution across HR, safety, and internal culture. This is a high-accountability role that requires both strategic thinking and a willingness to get hands-on.
You'll work closely with ownership and the leadership team across our brands to ensure the right people are in the right seats, that our teams operate safely and efficiently, and that organizational priorities are executed with clarity and discipline.
This is not a figurehead or advisory position - we're looking for someone who thrives on action, takes ownership of problems, and helps leadership move faster and smarter.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Operations & Execution
- Serve as a direct support to the executive team - aligning day-to-day execution with long-term goals
- Track organizational priorities and ensure progress on key initiatives
- Identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and implement process improvements
- Act as a liaison across departments, ensuring communication is streamlined and action-oriented
People & Culture
- Oversee hiring strategies across all brands: job postings, interview flow, and onboarding
- Support managers in handling employee relations, performance management, and terminations
- Maintain compliance with Alberta labour standards and internal policies
- Promote a consistent, values-aligned employee experience across divisions
- Lead internal communications and contribute to company-wide culture-building efforts
Safety & Compliance
- Manage Mosaic's COR-certified safety program and ensure alignment across all worksites
- Coordinate client-specific safety requirements and documentation
- Conduct audits, oversee training, and manage incident investigations
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain WCB reporting standards
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in a leadership, operations, HR, or safety-focused role (bonus for construction, trades, or multi-brand experience)
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive execution
- Exceptional organizational skills and comfort juggling multiple priorities
- Familiar with Alberta Employment Standards, OH&S regulations, and HR best practices
- Strong communicator - capable of working with everyone from front-line staff to senior leadership
- Comfortable in both the boardroom and the field
- HR, Safety, or Project Management certifications are an asset
