Position: Middle School Performing Arts Teacher (2025-26 Opportunity)
Location: Boston, MA (Jamaica Plain Campus)

OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a full-time Performing Arts who can continue to help build Match's middle school Arts program. The position entails planning and delivering a curriculum for middle school students who will have Performing Arts classes during the regular school day. The position is located at Match Middle School on 215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain, MA.
The compensation for Match teaching positions ranges from $61,812-$98,899 and is based on a candidate's prior years of teaching experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of health insurance costs and student loan repayment assistance.
We would like the Performing Arts teacher to offer a mix of classes in vocal music, instrumental music, dance, improv theater, and musical theater. There is a budget available for equipment and supplies. We have a dedicated Performing Arts classroom space.

- Design curriculum and teach middle school Performing Arts classes;
- Teach classes at multiple grade levels;
- Prepare students to perform at community meetings throughout the year;
- Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there;
- Participate actively in Match's coaching and professional development programming;
- Assist with school programming as needed during non-instructional time; and
- Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community

- Have at least 1-3 years prior experience as an Performing Arts teacher
- hold a valid and appropriate license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or meet licensure requirements within a year of date of hire
- Articulate a clear vision for an middle school Performing Arts curriculum
- Demonstrate skill in designing and delivering lessons
- Demonstrate skill in building effective relationships with students and colleagues
- Hold a deep belief that all students can and will succeed
- Possess a desire to continually improve their practice as an educator by taking and implementing feedback
