All about the role:
We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce team Lead with a strong background in SAP commerce. Reporting to Senior Ecommerce architect, you will be responsible for the reliability, performance, and scalability of our e-commerce application platform. This includes managing our SAP Commerce platform's design/development teams, as well as being part of monitoring and responding to support issues. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership to optimize our commerce initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce team Lead with a strong background in SAP commerce. Where you'll be:
This position will be based in the HQ, Charlotte Office, North Carolina.
What you'll do:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable e-commerce solutions using Java and SAP Commerce (Hybris).
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implementing new features and enhancements, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Integrating E-commerce systems with third-party systems such as payment gateways, CRM systems, SAP ERP systems, and other external web services.
- Conducting code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Mentoring and guiding junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Develop applications following defined quality standards by using industry's best practices.
- Collaborate with peers to define implementation processes and quality gates and standards.
- Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies and proactively suggesting improvements to existing systems and processes.
- Participating in Agile/Scrum development processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field.
- 5+ years working as a Software Engineer with 3+ years of focus on E-commerce and backend development using Java.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices architecture.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Good verbal/written communication skills with the ability to work in large teams and interact with technical team.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to pivot as needed in a fast-paced environment.
- Always Improve mindset that challenges the status quo and continually seeks ways to simplify and streamline processes and drive change
- Ability to resolve conflicts, driving toward win-win solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure platform or other Cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks (e.g. Angular, React and Node.js).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Certification in SAP Cloud Commerce.
