Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Systems Engineer with the ability and drive to maintain both on-premises and public cloud systems infrastructure components. The ideal candidate will have an automation-first mindset, strong customer service skills, the capability to learn new skills quickly, and the ability to work across other areas as needed. The ability to handle change and the propensity for knowledge gathering and sharing is a must.

- Deploy and proactively maintain cloud and on-premises systems and related technologies using Infrastructure-as-Code principles, to ensure maximum uptime and security.
- Perform troubleshooting to resolve escalated technical issues of affected equipment.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and be onsite as needed.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in a technical field or evidence of exceptional ability.
- Must possess a passion for technology and take initiative to stay educated on the latest and most relevant technologies and methodologies.
- Must possess initiative and analytical skills to resolve issues before they become critical.
- Must possess strong people skills and the ability to work as a team member, collaborating and partnering with team members to address issues.
- Solid understanding of the OSI model.
- Advanced understanding of Windows Server operating systems.
- Advanced skills in Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of VMWare patching and administration.
- Production experience working within systems monitoring solutions.
- Production experience backing up and restoring systems on-prem and in the cloud.
- Ability to automate tasks via PowerShell and SCCM.
- Some experience with Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of datacenter architecture, maintenance, and repair.
- Experience with application virtualization technology, such as Citrix and RemoteApp.
- Must be self-motivated, able to respond quickly when on-call, willing to work outside core area.
- Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Some experience with implementing production solutions in AWS and/or Azure.
- Production experience with Nutanix.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
- Experience with Git.
- Advanced understanding of data center architecture, maintenance, and repair.
