This is a unique opportunity to join the growing Product Legal team at Snowflake. This role will focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), partnering with a variety of teams across Snowflake to build, launch and enhance a wide range of offerings to support the company's go-to-market strategies and compliance efforts. It is based in Menlo Park, California with a hybrid in-office requirement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to advise on legal and regulatory requirements for existing and new offerings, with emphasis on AI/ML.
- Be (or become) an expert in AI/ML legal issues and how they impact our business.
- Develop and operationalize policies and procedures to facilitate responsible AI/ML development and deployment.
- Engage cross-functionally within the legal department and the broader organization on privacy, security, compliance, intellectual property, and other matters.
- Partner with commercial legal as a subject matter expert in customer negotiations.
- Support continuous improvements of forms, policies, and processes to build scalable solutions and streamline the provision of legal support.
- Provide sound, practical advice and guidance on legal and business-related issues to senior business leaders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- JD from an accredited law school, membership in at least one state bar, and ability to practice in California
- At least 4 years of relevant experience preferred
- Technically savvy with ability to quickly learn and support new paradigms
- Ability to explain complicated concepts in simple terms
- Attitude of issue ownership and that no project is too big or too small
- Comfort working in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Sense of humor!
