Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) Inbound data science team partners with product team to optimize inbound supply chain by influencing right trade-offs among cost, speed and network capacity utilization.
FBA Inbound analytics and data engineering team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to generate business insights , leveraging 100s of Terabytes of data, to influence product and policy decisions. The role would apply innovative analysis techniques, build new data pipelines, and share insights through scalable self service dashboards with product teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Deep dive into data to uncover actionable insights.
- Create robust reporting to increase visibility into the metrics and data.
- Partner with key stakeholders to enable data driven decision making.
- Partner with data engineers to build data pipeline and standardize data transformation logic.
- Design and implement scalable self-service dashboards to enable business users get answer frequently asked business questions in self service fashion.
- Apply statistical techniques to infer impact of product and policy decisions on business outcomes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
