  • Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects, and proprietary information.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Establish and strengthen relationships with existing clients to grow business and uncover new opportunities.
    • Engage with key decision makers at prospective client organizations, focusing on qualifying and prioritizing potential leads.
  • Sales Pipeline Generation:
    • Actively manage leads from initial contact through to the preconstruction phase.
    • Create and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations to transform leads into concrete sales opportunities.
  • Goal Setting:
    • Establish goals and objectives aimed at achieving revenue, profit margins, and market share targets, in line with manufacturing capabilities and product standards.
  • Industry Engagement:
    • Actively participate in industry and trade events, representing the company and staying abreast of market developments.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    • Work closely with various departments, such as Marketing and Engineering, to ensure coordinated efforts and the achievement of common objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities
  • Proven history of success in construction industry client relationship management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with strategic thinking prowess.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in motivating and guiding teams.
  • Enthusiastic about Clark Pacific's vision and mission; able to promote, demonstrate, and communicate the mission, values, and core competencies of Clark Pacific to others.
  • Able to exercise appropriate discretion when managing confidential and/or sensitive information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Specific experience and a clear understanding of the design, construction, and acquisition processes within target markets.
  • History of success in obtaining business in challenging markets.
  • Ability to influence at senior levels in organizations (peers, customers, partners within and outside of the company).
  • Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with existing clients and maintain strong relationships at the executive level within market sectors.
  • Strong business acumen (financially and operationally)
  • Initiative-taking and execution-oriented in their approach to business development. Must have a thorough knowledge of business development process (identification, qualification, capture and bid activities).

Work Environment
  • General office environment will be experienced.
  • There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing environments which may present hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.
  • There will be periodic exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme cold and extreme heat, wet and/or humid environments.
  • Business travel as required - Western US up to 75%.

Physical Demands
  • Frequent: Sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones, standing and walking
  • Periodic: Repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements
  • Occasional: Bending squatting, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

Experience and Education
  • Preferred experience/education:
  • BA/BS degree and five plus (5+) years of experience within the construction industry.
  • Experience with Phoenix market including General Contractors, Owners, Architects, Engineers.
  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge of construction process and construction delivery methods.
