We are seeking an experienced Ovation (High-Net-Worth) Claims Specialist.

What you'll do:
  • Support Ovation Claims, focusing mostly on Property line of claims with some Automobile claims as may be required.
  • Assess structural repair and emergency mitigation damages
  • Provide reliable assurance of an effective control environment, focusing on the scope, repair, quality and customer experience of the program.
  • Conduct reviews and assist in conducting claims studies aimed at reducing total claims costs and increasing efficiencies while maintaining a high level of outstanding customer service.
  • Provide service within their region and others when required, while leveraging best practice and expertise in Xactware.
  • Handle assigned claims and act as a resource for shared Ovation Claims resources across Canada on claims handling and coverage.
  • Read and interpret scopes and estimates from contractors, provide meaningful feedback and establish actioning as required.
  • Train team members and may assist with Open/Closed file reviews.
  • Support the CAT team as needed, to coordinate response for Ovation customers and brokers.
  • Liaise with Ovation UW and Risk Management to spot trends and identify risks.
  • Work closely and in collaboration with Anti-Fraud on any suspected Ovation Fraud claim.
  • Establish relations with both our internal and external adjusting partners and vendor database.


What you'll bring:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a senior position handling property loss
  • Past experience adjusting Auto PD claims across Canada
  • Post Secondary education or working toward completion of the Insurance Institute program (CIP / FCIP).
  • Proven track record of handling large loss (> $150K)
  • Experience reviewing estimates using Xactimate software
  • Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills to handle high-profile clients and partners
  • Solid understanding of claims adjusting practises.
  • Bilingualism in a second language and adjusting licenses for Quebec and/or Atlantic provinces will be considered an asset


What you'll get
  • The salary band for this position ranges from $65,500 to $95,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
