Job Summary:
The Manager, Office of the CIOwillsupport the Chief Information Officer in the strategic and operational management of the IT department. This role will serve as a liaison between IT senior leadership team and key stakeholders in Finance, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure alignment, planning, and efficient allocation of resources, to support the organization's goals and objectives.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support long-term financial forecasting for IT initiatives, aligning spending with strategic IT goals. Recommend strategies that optimize ROI for IT investments and promote cost-effective practices.
- Partner with senior IT leadership and Finance to plan, develop, and manage IT budgets. Ensure proper allocation of financial resources to support IT initiatives, software, hardware, and service investments.
- Analyze IT projects and initiatives to assess costs, benefits, and risks. Provide regular reporting, including variance analysis, budget forecasts, and recommendations for cost optimization.
- Partner with senior IT leadership and Supply Chain to select and manage IT vendors, develop and execute hardware and software contracts, manage timely and cost-effective procurement of IT assets, and ensure compliance with internal governance policy and standards.
- Support audits and maintain records of financial transactions related to IT systems, software licenses, and technology assets.
- Continuously evaluate and improve IT planning, budgeting, and asset management processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in budget tracking, reporting, and financial decision-making.
- Provide leadership and development to the IT asset procurement team to align and maintain resources based upon current and projected needs. Ensure team members are trained, clear expectations and goals are set, and coaching is provided to achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Eight years of experience in business management, financial planning and budgeting, IT asset management, or related in an IT industry or a tech-driven environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong leadership skills including communication, time management, budgeting, project management and people leadership.
- Strong understanding of IT operations, technology budgets, and cost drivers.
- Proactive and results-driven, with a focus on achieving cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a strategic and innovative approach.
Work Environment:
