Intel's IO and Chipset Engineering team is looking for an engineer ready to grow their business acumen and support Intel's Client customers. A system and hardware engineer provides technical support for solutions that incorporate one or more Intel products and technologies, drives solution design ensuring time to market readiness, transforms opportunities to design and production wins, and enables ecosystem and industry partners for platform solution readiness. Develops and implements product design, development, and validation tools and provides technical and issue resolution support during development, testing, and production. Evaluates, designs, and develops new software and hardware fixtures and utilizes tools during project deployment to validate and optimize product quality and performance. Creates product specifications, hardware design guides, application notes, and other supporting technical collateral. Collaborates and enables internal and external silicon, hardware, and software teams to deliver latest products in the market. Partners with customer R and D and manufacturing to ensure smooth product ramp through integrating customer DFx requirements, mitigating customer factory challenges, delivering product training, and providing health oversight with rapid technical support and systematic improvement action. The IO and Chipset engineering team focuses on IO technologies like Audio, PCIe, USB, SATA and Power Management.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineer, or a related field plus 4+ years of experience.
  • OR Master's Degree in in Computer Engineer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineer, or a related field plus 3+ years of experience.


Experience listed above should be in any of the following:

Designing, validating, enabling electronic systems and platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA and/or advanced technical degree a plus
  • Experience with any of the following:
  • IO interfaces such as PCIe, USB, SATA, Audio, Power Management etc.
  • Firmware or BIOS development a plus
  • Lab debug skills utilizing lab tools (ITP, Oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, debug HW/SW)
  • Board layout and design tools like Allegro or Cadence
  • Experience working with customers

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$139,710.00-$197,230.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
