Description:
Under the direction of the Vice President Marketing, the Executive Director Casino Marketing is the strategic leader responsible for developing and cultivating the framework for and delivery of a strong customer base, to generate revenue for Palms Casino Resort. This role will manage and develop all Player Development personnel, establish and maintain initiatives to develop new casino players (Tables and Slots), as well as initiate play in domestic and international markets.

Core Responsibilities:
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and SMGHA and departmental policies and procedures.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow Team Members.
- Serve as an active strategic leader with comprehensive responsibilities to work with teams to ensure successful development and implementation of divisional strategic plan. Provides weekly update to Executive Committee on all marketing/player development projects.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies/initiatives for all markets, including an Asian Marketing. Maintain accountability for the execution of said initiatives.
- Reinforce department goals and vision to all direct reports and continually implement this strategy into overall communications.
- Review and provide recommendations on extending credit to casino customers. Advise GM and/or CFO on credit requests above his/her authorized limits. Recommend credit settlements of customers' outstanding balances based on ability to pay and promotional consideration. Assist in coordinating and negotiating collections, airfares, settlements or allowances. Review expense reports, comp exceptions and airfare reimbursements.
- Recruit and hire individuals with strong relationships in the gaming community to represent the SMGHA Nevada within their focused areas.
- Engage with customers/players of the Resort. Greet customers upon arrival, attend Special Event functions, etc.
- Monitor play of customers/players in the High Limit Pit and other areas of casino, as needed.
- Review budgets and control expenses.
- Understand and abide by the SMGHA Nevada's business practices, policies and philosophies.
- Safeguard the confidential information of all Team Member, department and company records.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
- Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of the Casino Industry including Domestic and Asian Marketing, Casino Operations, Gaming Regulations and Customer/Team Member Relations.
- Must be highly collaborative with strong management experience in building, managing, and leading a high performing team.
- Must be highly motivated, self-directed, outgoing, and personable with the ability to interface with all levels of management as well as with Casino/Hotel Customers/Players. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts. Possess superior customer service skills.
- Must be able to drive strategic thinking and planning, while developing tactical and executional support plans.
- Demonstrated experience developing department goals and action plans in accordance with property and overall SMGHA Nevada's goals.
- Knowledge of Konami Gaming System, preferred.
- Knowledge of personal computer (to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office), table games, slots, money handling, speaking/writing of the English language. Possess superior telephone etiquette skills.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in Marketing and/or Player Development experience, with five years as department leader.
- Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational/experience requirements indicated above.

- Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.

- Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
- Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
- Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of Team Members, visitors or facility.
- Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences and trade shows.
- Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
- The Team Member may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
