OVERVIEW:
- Microsoft AI is seeking an experienced Business Manager to support the teams dedicated to Copilot and AI Research
- As a Business Manager, candidate will effectively manage purchasing and financial obligations on behalf of the Microsoft team. work along the Chief of Staff team to help the AI team move purchases quickly through the required processes. Looking for someone detail-oriented, organized who can managing competing priorities and help the team navigate through structured processes

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Submit purchase orders for processing and oversee purchase order obligations to ensure compliance with company guidelines
- Onboard new Microsoft suppliers and guide them through payment and compliance procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed
- Review incoming invoices, verify accuracy, and confirm eligibility for payment with the appropriate teams
- Process sales tax exemption certificates and facilitate payment term change requests in accordance with company policy
- Develop a deep knowledge of the overall business group, as well as company policy, and act as an information resource to the business group
- Additional Team projects as needed

- Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to build Microsoft consumer Copilot
- Key Projects: This role will contribute to work along the Chief of Staff team to help the AI team move purchases quickly through the required processes and additional team projects as needed. Take on administrative tasks - submitting and managing purchase orders across the org, communication with compliance teams, reviewing invoices and ensuring payment approval - following up with technical POC to ensure the time submitted is correct. Purchasing products and content - ensure purchased content is working correctly and issue payments. Setting up suppliers and sales tax exemption. Negotiate payment terms on some contracts. Handling and managing all documentation
- Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm: The role will consist of 10% meetings, 65% purchase orders and managing documentation, and 25% communication
REQUIREMENTS:
- Years of Experience Required: At least 2-4 overall years of experience in the field
- Degrees or Certifications Required: Bachelor's degree is required to be eligible for this role
- Disqualifiers: Candidates with less than 12 months on access clock will not be eligible for the role
- Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, Slack, Teams, purchase orders, invoice management, internal Microsoft tools
- Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work, meeting deadlines and SLAs, and strong time management
- Minimum 2 years' experience with purchase order creation and management
- Minimum 2 years' experience with financial management
- Minimum 2 years' experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, or invoice management
