POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Business Development Manager, Monitoring and IT Manager drives pipeline and revenue growth for our digital solutions and software, including monitoring, and IT management solutions. This includes increasing awareness and use of Vertiv monitoring and IT Management by engaging with end customers and the field/channel sales team. This role will focus on helping businesses understand the value of managing their IT environment by getting better visibility on their power and cooling physical infrastructure and optimizing the operation of their IT equipment using secure out-of-band technology.

This role will focus on helping businesses understand the value of managing their IT environment by getting better visibility on their power and cooling physical infrastructure and optimizing the operation of their IT equipment using secure out-of-band technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customer & Partner Engagement: Works directly with IT leaders, decision-makers, and channel partners to identify needs and present tailored monitoring and IT management solutions.
- Consultative Selling: Understands customer challenges and helps both direct customers and partners position solutions that enhance performance, security, and operational efficiency of IT equipment in whitespace and edge.
- Solution Demonstration: With the assistance of a sales engineer/SME, conducts product demonstrations and proofs-of-concept for both end customers and channel partners to showcase the value of our solutions.
- Sales Execution: Develops and executes sales strategies to drive revenue growth through direct sales and channel partnerships. Focuses on achieving growth to hit company targets.
- Partner Enablement: Builds strong relationships with key channel partners, VARs, and MSPs to increase pipeline and close deals.
- Market & Industry Expertise: Stays updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to provide insights to both customers and channel teams
- Sales Reporting: Tracks and reports on partner engagement, pipeline, and sales performance using CRM tools.
- Market feedback: Provides market feedback to product offering teams for future Software and Monitoring functionality.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related technical field. (Or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 8+ years of industry sales experience.
- Familiarity with IT networking and communication systems.
- Experience with environmental monitoring hardware and software solutions and underlying technologies.
- Familiarity with KVM Switching and Serial Console technologies
- Familiarity with UPS and power distribution products.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Highly detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skill. Strong presentation skills.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, monitoring tools, cloud services, and network management is a plus.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
- Up to 50-75% travel.
