Job Title: Physical Therapist

Experience: Pediatric outpatient experience required with infant development through adolescents
License: Current license as a Physical Therapist
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
Must-Have: Pediatric outpatient experience, knowledge in developmental delays, and orthopedic/neuro skills
Description:
Under minimal direction, perform various therapeutic physical therapy treatments according to the direction of a physician.
Interpret physician order, evaluate patient, and formulate a treatment plan to reach long and short-term goals.
Interpret the patient's response to treatment and modify the plan to fit the current needs of the patient.
Participate in discharge planning of patients and write and instruct patients in a home program.
Document treatment results and patient's response to treatment in medical records.
Depending on the amount of clinical experience, may supervise and assist students during their clinical rotations.
Maintain and clean equipment used by the department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of the principles, methods, practices, techniques, equipment, and procedures used in physical therapy.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology sufficient to evaluate and treat patients.
Knowledge of equipment and the ability to adjust equipment to suit patient's needs.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and excellent communication skills in guiding patients to assume responsibility for their treatment and development.
Knowledge of computers.
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
