As a Mechanical Engineer IV at EPS, you'll be at the forefront of our groundbreaking technology. You'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and testing equipment, components, and systems that power the next generation of aerospace and transportation solutions. With your expertise, you'll tackle intricate challenges, applying mathematical and engineering principles to hardware system designs.

Your responsibilities will include designing battery modules and packs, orchestrating the packaging of battery cells and components, and ingeniously integrating propulsion equipment into aerospace prototypes. You'll wield your mastery over cooling mechanisms, optimizing battery performance through precise module and pack design. By leveraging your skills, you'll minimize volume, weight, and cost. Your designs will withstand rigorous structural testing, emerging triumphant in scenarios of shock, vibration, and impact.

Our ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and boasts a minimum of 6 years' experience in engineering, designing for a range of methods including CNC machining, injection molding, and 3D printing. You're able to perform geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5 and have a proven record of taking designs from the drawing board to production with minimal guidance.

Your skills encompass the spectrum of mechanical engineering, from thermal analysis to designing for manufacturing and meeting requirements while keeping an eye on cost. You're well-versed in the properties of materials, especially metals, plastics, and composites. Your CAD expertise lies in SolidWorks, and you excel in stress analysis through both classical mechanics and FEA. Additionally, you've designed intricate wire routing and harness systems and are a proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite.
