Birmingham Legion FC, a professional soccer team competing in the USL, is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Ticketing to lead the club's ticketing operations. This individual will oversee all aspects of ticket sales, strategy, and service, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction while maximizing revenue generation for the organization. The VP of Ticketing will be a key member of the leadership team, collaborating with other departments to enhance fan engagement, grow attendance, and strengthen the club's financial performance. They will lead a staff of ticket representatives both on the sales and the service side towards hitting both departmental and induvial goals as it pertains to season, group, suites, and individual ticket sales

Birmingham Legion FC, a professional soccer team competing in the USL, is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Ticketing to lead the club's ticketing operations. This individual will oversee all aspects of ticket sales, strategy, and service, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction while maximizing revenue generation for the organization. The VP of Ticketing will be a key member of the leadership team, collaborating with other departments to enhance fan engagement, grow attendance, and strengthen the club's financial performance. They will lead a staff of ticket representatives both on the sales and the service side towards hitting both departmental and induvial goals as it pertains to season, group, suites, and individual ticket sales
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive ticketing strategy aimed at maximizing revenue, fan engagement, and attendance. Lead and mentor the ticketing department, including sales, customer service, and ticket operations teams.
- Revenue Generation: Drive growth in both season ticket sales and individual game tickets. Identify new revenue opportunities, such as premium seating, group sales, and digital ticketing products. Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Ticket Sales Operations: Oversee day-to-day ticket sales activities including the development and execution of all sales campaigns, pricing strategies, and promotional initiatives. Ensure smooth operations for both in-house and online ticketing platforms.
- Data Analytics & Reporting: Utilize data-driven insights to track sales trends, identify opportunities, and optimize pricing strategies. Provide regular reporting on ticket sales performance, forecasts, and key performance indicators to senior management.
- Fan Experience: Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through excellent service, clear communication, and resolving issues in a timely manner. Work closely with the fan engagement and marketing teams to ensure a seamless experience for ticket holders.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sponsorship, operations, and community relations teams to create synergistic programs that promote ticket sales and drive attendance. Support game-day operations and ensure a top-tier experience for ticket holders.
- Budgeting & Financial Management: Develop and manage the ticketing budget, including revenue forecasting, expense control, and cost-benefit analysis of ticket promotions and sales initiatives.
- Staff Management & Development: Lead, train, and develop the ticketing staff, providing support and guidance for both individual and team success. Ensure staff are equipped with the necessary tools, skills, and resources to excel in their roles.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in ticket sales and operations, with a strong background in the sports or entertainment industry, preferably at the professional or semi-professional level.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, set clear goals, and achieve measurable outcomes in a high-performance environment.
- Sales Acumen: Strong track record of driving ticket sales revenue and managing complex pricing strategies across different customer segments (e.g., season tickets, group sales, single-game tickets).
- Customer Focus: A deep commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating an outstanding fan experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with ticketing software systems (e.g., Ticketmaster, AXS), CRM systems, and data analytics tools. Familiarity with digital ticketing trends and technologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, senior leadership, sponsors, and fans.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze challenges and quickly develop creative, effective solutions. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's Degree: A degree in business, sports management, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with soccer or professional sports teams.
- Understanding with ticketing sales at either a minor or major league entity within the sports and entertainment field.
- Previous involvement with large-scale event ticketing or stadium management.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, especially on game days.
- Some travel may be required for regional or league-related events.
