Description:
The Quality Manager is key in sustaining and developing our culture of quality to uphold rigorous standards through each step of our products journey from raw material, qualification and manufacture, through to delivery and use by customers. The Quality Manager oversees and develops the on-site quality team, monitors site KPI's, and acts accordingly in order to maintain the high quality standards expected. Engages with both internal and external stakeholders on performance, quality, and compliance issues. Oversees all aspects of quality inspection and testing as well as internal and external auditing.

Compensation & Benefits:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicates and implements the Quality policy, associated objectives and KPI's
- Responsible for the documentation and maintenance of an effective ISO 9001 program reporting findings to line manager on a regular basis.
- Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop the site quality team and manage ongoing performance
- Lead investigation activities resulting from process failures to establish root cause and corrective actions.
- Clearly communicate site quality performance to wider management team at regular meetings
- Lead the facilitation of customer Visits and audits, and the investigation and resolution of any related findings.
- Lead the facilitation of certification audits conducted by the certifying body.
- Lead the quality audit schedule, including internal audits, Supplier qualification audits and supplier surveillance audits.
- Analysis and trending of site data to identify process gaps, opportunities for improvement and nonconformance.
- Manage and maintain site quality documentation ensuring content and accuracy
- Manage customer complaint handling and facilitate investigation within the eQMS liaising with customers as required on feedback and resolution
- Conduct Management Reviews and manage Risk Analysis and Quality Objectives.
- Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook, AWAIR and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Five years Quality Assurance experience.
- Minimum of one year managerial experience.
- Must be trained as an ISO9001 Internal Auditor by a recognized body.
- Must have excellent verbal, written, math and presentation skills.
- Ability to delegate and motivate, lead, train, and evaluate staff and work with minimal supervision.
- Must have a demonstrated history of cross-functional work with different internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in word processing, and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, inside/outside micrometers, Vernier, pin gauges, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, and dial indicators.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Be willing to work in a very dynamic cultural environment and be a team player.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree oradditional experience may be substituted for the degree.
- Project management experience
- 2-3 years managerial experience
- Certified ISO 9001 or similar Lead Auditor
- Experience in dynamic manufacturing environments e.g. Food, Packaging, blow moulding etc.

- Ensures that staff is contributing at maximum potential through rigorous hiring practices and an emphasis on training and development initiatives, including coaching and counseling direct reports in their performance and professional development, with final authority for approving pay increases, hiring decisions and disciplinary actions.

- Must be able to travel, nationally and internationally, as necessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
