Description:
The Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is seeking an UI/UXDeveloper with minimum 3 years' experience to work with an existing softwaredevelopment team.
Remote work schedule
You will be working with our more established contractorsand staff to focus on developing applications used both by internal ELECT staffand constituents of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The candidate will design,develop and implement cross-browser and cross-platform user interfaces. Thisposition performs complex application programming activities in the latesttechnologies, to include creating features that are scalable, accessible andrender effectively across multiple browsers, operating systems, and devicetypes. As part of an existing software development team, the candidate will collaboratewith product owners, designers, and other developers on different permutationsto find the best solution possible, and ensure components are fully automatedwith unit and functional testing. Additionally, the candidate will identifyways to improve upon existing components, making them more easily consumable toimprove functionality and the customer experience.
ELECT uses mobile and responsive design practices, so afamiliarity with these methodologies would be a plus.
