Help shape the future of secure cloud connectivity! As a Software Development Engineer II on the PrivateLink RTSB (Real-Time Scaling and Billing) team, you'll be at the heart of enhancing one of AWS's most crucial networking services.

Our team owns mission-critical services that directly impact AWS customer experience offering private and secured connectivity. We're responsible for:
Publishing real-time PrivateLink usage metrics to customers
Generating and processing PrivateLink billing records for AWS invoice services
Building innovative tools for enhanced PrivateLink service provider load and availability management
Delivering key product adoption insights to leadership and stakeholders

Recently, we launched Cross-region PrivateLink - one of our most requested features - and continue to evolve through various micro-services supporting this important capability.

As an SDE II, you'll:
Architect and implement scalable solutions for complex technical challenges
Lead development of existing systems to enhance functionality and performance
Design new services to meet emerging customer needs at Amazon scale
Build microservices-based applications using modern serverless technologies
Collaborate with top talent to drive innovation in cloud security

Key job responsibilities

* You design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.

* You invent on customers' behalf and solve difficult problems generating positive feedback.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
