The Business Loan Officer (Commercial Lending) will develop a comprehensive understanding of member and prospect businesses' priorities, challenges, and objectives.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's Degree or higher plus a minimum of 3 years working in Commercial/Business Lending. Ability to develop new business and cross-sell other products and services.

The Business Loan Officer (Commercial Lending) will develop a comprehensive understanding of member and prospect businesses' priorities, challenges, and objectives.
- Responsible for business development, promotes business lending through establishing long term referral sources with commercial realtors, CPA firms, attorneys, financial planners, etc. while maintaining good client relations and the development and implementation of new programs.
- Assists the VP of Business Services with all business loan types as assigned to include the compilation of package, credit analysis, credit decision, collection, maintenance, and required reporting. Assists with credit reviews and investigations for potential and existing credit members.
- Administers SBA lending activities to include compilation of the package, credit analysis, credit decision, collection, maintenance, and required reporting.
- Provides value added ideas through disciplined preparation and understanding strategy, motives, industry, and competition.
- Conducts collection and loss mitigation activities for all types of business account.
- Identify and solicit potential members consistent with Sunmark's strategic goals and objectives for market development, penetration, and retention. Maintain active relationship development efforts through prospect calling, referral source cultivation and community involvement.
- Acts as support for branch managers and staff for the purpose of facilitating joint sales calls, account openings, and general member support. Emphasis will be on the development of branch managers with respect to calling on new and existing members to enhance business development at the branch level.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of Sunmark and competitive business lending products, services, positioning, and delivery strategies. Keep apprised and follow State and Federal Regulations of relevant laws, Credit Union policies, procedures, and rate changes as well as trends and activities.
- Develops loans and related services by calling on and meeting with businesses/members at locations convenient to the owners.
