They will work cross-functionally with Information Security, IT, and various business lines to support and enhance the organization's security posture.
About the Role
- This is a newly created position due to organizational growth.
- You'll lead a mix of technical and operational teams, including data loss analysts and fusion center staff focused on real-time alerts, investigations, and incident response.
- Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing teams that investigate alerts, document findings, create tickets, and manage follow-up actions.
- You'll formalize these repeatable tasks using metrics, build out SLAs, and implement consistent QA processes across operations.
- Within the first 90 days, the focus will be on developing metrics, reviewing current processes, and launching quality assurance efforts.
- Within the first year, you'll be expected to drive efficiency gains across the entire operations group.

Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in information security operations.
- Proven experience managing and maturing programs within a Security Operations Center (SOC), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Fusion Center functions.
- Prior leadership experience in a large financial institution, with a strong understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape.
- Demonstrated success leading, mentoring, and developing security operations teams, including analysts and engineers.
- Strong track record of implementing and measuring operational metrics, SLAs, and process efficiencies.
- Experience collaborating across departments, including IT, information security, business units, and internal audit.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience preparing materials for and presenting to executive leadership or the board on security program effectiveness, incident trends, or risk posture.
- Direct experience interacting with external regulators or participating in regulatory exams.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes within a security operations environment.
Compensation:
- Annual base salary ranges from $140,000 to $200,000. Actual salaries may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
- Eligible for annual discretionary cash bonus.
- Eligible for stock incentives.
