About the Role
The Senior Manager, Global Purchasing plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the global procurement strategy across all business regions. Pay Range: $165,000 to $185,000
The pay range represents the low and high end of the anticipated pay range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual pay offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. The role oversees a high-performing global team, fosters strong internal partnerships, and ensures procurement initiatives support operational efficiency, innovation, and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive global purchasing strategy that supports enterprise growth, financial performance, and supply chain resilience.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on procurement trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Drive supplier segmentation strategies and oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of global supplier partnerships to ensure value delivery, innovation, and service continuity.
- Oversee high-impact contract negotiations and complex supplier agreements, ensuring favorable terms and long-term strategic value.
- Partner closely with regional and functional leaders (e.g., Supply Chain, Operations, Product Management, Finance, Legal) to align sourcing strategies with business priorities.
- Implement governance processes and performance management systems to ensure supplier accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive global standardization and digital transformation of purchasing processes, leveraging procurement technologies (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Oracle) to enhance transparency and decision-making.
- Own procurement KPIs and cost control metrics, and lead initiatives to capture and report on savings, working capital improvements, and process efficiency.
- Lead supply chain risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to geopolitical, regulatory, and market volatility.
- Champion responsible for sourcing and sustainability initiatives across all purchasing activities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of purchasing professionals, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and strategic insights for internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in global supply chain, procurement, planning, including leadership of international teams and strategic sourcing functions.
- Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, global contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Expertise in ERP and procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba), with a strong understanding of digital procurement practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across regions and functions.
- Deep understanding of global supply markets, regulatory environments, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Proven ability to drive organizational change and lead cross-functional initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Advanced analytical skills and fluency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, or other reporting platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, technology, or consumer products industries.
- Multilingual capabilities and experience working across diverse cultural and regulatory environments.
