Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our civil engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the civil engineering field as it relates to land development, including grading plans, storm drainage, stormwater management, water and sanitary sewer systems, and erosion and sediment control. Typical job duties will include the management and design of land development projects, supervision of junior engineers, and acting as a point of contact for clients and review agency personnel. Good communication skills and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D are essential, as is licensure as a professional engineer in the State of Virginia or the intention to obtain PE licensure within the next year or two.
Responsibilities
The work environment has a family feel with a good team environment. The position is Monday to Friday, and you will work alongside 14 survey team members and 6 engineers. The company has been around for over 50 years, providing stability and steady work with local and private contractors. There are opportunities for career growth into Director and President roles and potential ownership opportunities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $53.00/hr.

- Prepare grading plans, storm drainage, stormwater management, water and sanitary sewer systems, and erosion and sediment control plans.
- Experience (2-5 years) in civil engineering related to land development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Virginia or intention to obtain PE within the next year or two.
- Strong communication skills.
- Management skills.
- B.S. in Engineering Discipline.
- Experience with land design and erosion control.
