Senior Solutions Architect

The Senior Solution Architect (SSA) will work under the direction of the Senior Manager and will be part of the Enterprise Applications strategy and delivery excellence team. This individual will be a key liaison with the business in the areas of Procurement, Inventory, Maintenance, Sales, Product Costing, and Invoicing. The primary focus of this role will be to architect, design, develop and deliver business solutions using JDEdwards Enterprise One (JDE) through detailed understanding of the current and future needs of the business partners. Based on a wide range of experience and industry research help, provide short term and long-term direction in the areas of Sales order processing, Customer Relationship management, Inventory controls, Purchase order processing, Maintenance, Manufacturing and Work orders. Partnering with stakeholders to achieve sustainable productivity through a collaborative and consultative approach. Work with other team members in other business functional areas within IS applications, such as finance, business analysts, developers, CNC, DBAs, and infrastructure, to support the successful deployment of the solution.

SSA will be required to assist and provide multiple options, solid system architecture, designs and solutions to solve various business requirements. SSA must ensure non-functional and non-technical requirements are factored in the solution, and cross functional impact is assessed and factored in as well. To be successful, you must have proven experience designing and managing solutions or managing work streams within the projects through the entire project lifecycle. The role requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management. The SSA should be able to deliver effective presentations and solution walk-through to audiences of all sizes, all levels and possess excellent communication skills.

The role requires both broad and deep knowledge of the JDE system and the ability to architect solutions by mapping customer business problems to reusable end-to-end business application solutions. The SSA will engage in senior level business decision maker discussions related to business value and business processes. Candidate should have passion for the business which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the business experience. SSA should also have demonstrable ability to troubleshoot complex issues and situations, and bring resolution to the table working with multiple analysists, developers and teams.

The successful candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree with a deep understanding of JDE/E1 sales and distribution and supply chain modules. Higher relevant education preferred. Position requires extensive relevant working experience including expertise in business solutions deployment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science is required.
  • At least 7 years in JDE E1 consulting /solution architecture experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in developing detailed architectural design documents, functional requirements for reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements as they relate to JDE E1 applications.
  • At least 5 years of experience with JDE to Tax Software (Vertex) interface and Tax functionality
  • At least 5 years of experience with Oracle SQL.
  • At least 5 years of experience with JDE Menu and Security foundational functions.
  • At least 5 years of experience in specifying and supporting Interfaces between external Legacy systems and JDE E1 applications.
  • At least 3 full lifecycle implementations of JDE - Sales and Distribution modules (Sales, Procurement, Advance Pricing, Transportation, Product costing, Inventory controls and General Accounting), EDI and interfaces
  • At least 3 years of exposure to JDE technical knowledge & solutioning using OMW, Report writing, Business functions & Services, Power forms and interface designing.
  • At least 7 years of exposure to end-to-end Business processes.
  • At least 3 years of exposure to warehouse management and integration to JDE ERP system
