Job Title: Computer Technology Specialist
Qualifications: An individual in this position should have the following credentials.
(1) High School Diploma
(2) Minimum of two years of post secondary technical training or four year degree in a
related field.
(3) Four years' experience in computer electronics and maintenance
(4) Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems
(5) Experience with Microsoft Office suite
(6) Experience in computer software training
(7) Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair general hardware problems
(8) Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair general software problems
(9) Ability to troubleshoot and repair network wiring
(10) Ability to organize time, establish work priorities and work with limited
supervision
(11) Ability to develop and maintain harmonious and productive working relationships
(12) Prefer but not require an understanding of food service operations.
Reports to: This person is directly responsible to the Food Service Director
Job Goal: The person in this position is responsible for facilitating the implementation and operation of technology related to the school nutrition program. This would involve working with the local school manager and central office nutrition staff to provide training, technical support and troubleshooting, while adhering to the networking goals and technical directions set by the district ETS department.
Performance Responsibilities:
(1) Maintain data integrity between FANS, school cafeterias and the District Office.
(2) Implement major database projects within the food service network.
(3) Interact with ETS to appropriately maintain file server and network functionality.
(4) Provide computer hardware and software support to school cafeterias.
(5) Provide computer training in all FANS standard software as needed.
(6) Assist Director in development of computer technology budgetary requirements within district networking and technical standards as defined by ETS.
(7) Advise Director in all areas of technology ensuring compliance with district standards.
(8) Perform system administrator duties for all FANS standard software.
(9) Establish and maintain a working rapport with software and hardware vendors.
(10) Provide accountability for all FANS computer equipment.
(11) All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Term of Employment: Twelve months employment with salary in
Grade J, (65,415-107,732)
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be in accordance with provision of the school board's policy.
