Location: Remote/Hybrid/In-office (depending on company needs)

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000 DOE

Reports to: VP of Data Analytics

Position Overview

The Foundry Data Engineer plays a critical role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing data integration and analytics solutions using Palantir Foundry. This position supports internal customers by building scalable data pipelines, transforming data, and delivering advanced analytics to enhance healthcare operations, business operations, and financial reporting. By leveraging advanced data processing techniques, the engineer will contribute to the development of analytics that drive improvements in patient care and operational efficiency. Ultimately, the role is pivotal in transforming raw data into actionable insights that enhance the overall quality of health services provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Engineering & Integration
  • Develop and maintain Foundry pipelines using Pipeline Builder to ingest, transform, and integrate data from multiple internal sources.
  • Design scalable, high-performance data architectures to support internal reporting and analytics.
  • Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Optimize data workflows and ETL processes for performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to refine data models and ontology mapping.


Analytics & Automation
  • Develop automated data workflows and transformation processes leveraging Python and SQL within Foundry.
  • Implement AI/ML solutions within Foundry to drive predictive analytics for operational efficiency and financial insights.
  • Build self-service tools to enable non-technical users to interact with and analyze data.


Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) & Agile Practices
  • Follow Agile methodologies, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to retrospectives.
  • Ensure high-quality data engineering through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices.


Collaboration & Business Impact
  • Work closely with internal finance, operations, and healthcare teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
  • Develop real-time reporting and dashboards to support decision-making in EHR (Electronic Health Records), revenue cycle management (RCM), and financial reporting.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to non-technical users on leveraging Foundry for data insights.


Required Qualifications
  • Strong experience developing in Palantir Foundry, including Pipeline Builder and Foundry's data integration ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, automation, and analytics.
  • Experience with data modeling, ontology mapping, and data visualization within Foundry.
  • Hands-on experience managing Agile software development projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with DevOps best practices and cloud-based data infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical internal teams.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with healthcare analytics, EHR systems, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle management (RCM), claims processing, and operational reporting.
  • Background in computer science, data science, data engineering, or healthcare analytics.
  • Experience leading data engineering teams or mentoring junior engineers.
