Your Role as the Director of Market Research

As Director of Market Research, you'll lead the charge in delivering data-driven insights that guide our national multifamily real estate development. By leveraging tools like CoStar, RealPage, GIS platforms, and economic databases, your strategic recommendations will directly influence site selection, project planning, and investment decisions.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead comprehensive market research and feasibility studies to support new and existing development opportunities.
  • Analyze trends, demographics, supply and demand, and economic indicators across regional and national markets.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and monitor macroeconomic, regulatory, and industry trends that impact real estate strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including development, finance, marketing, and construction to embed market insights into planning and execution.
  • Create visually engaging reports and presentations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Deliver consistent updates, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership, aligning research initiatives with business objectives.
  • Manage external research vendors and data partners to ensure access to high-quality intelligence.

What You Bring:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Economics, Urban Planning, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience: At least 6 years in market research, real estate analysis, or related roles.
  • Advanced experience with industry tools such as CoStar, RealPage, Yardi, GIS software, and demographic databases.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple research efforts simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and data visualization skills.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities - capable of sharing complex data in a way that inspires action.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to lead a team of analysts.
